October Bonefish Fishing in Islamorada

Capt. Richard Stanczyk Sr. has been on the bonefish as of late.  They caught 8 the other night with his friend Vinny Bob.  Soaking shrimp on the flats of Islamorada was the ticket.  A beatiful evening on the water!  Fall is a great time for bonefish fishing as the water levels get extra high and the fish push far up on to the flats.  This past year the bonefishing has gotten a lot better, we are seeing more numbers than we have in probably close to 10 years!  A few nights before that with Stephen Byrd, Richard Sr. put Stephen on a 35 lb permit as well as as bonefish.  What a special fish the permit was!  Again dead bait fishing was the trick.  October bonefish action can be great in the early morning or later afternoon/evening.  If you are looking to give it a try give me a shout.  I myself don’t do many bonefish charters but I can refer you to some guides who specialize in it.
